Metabolic health: taking control of your weight, blood pressure and blood sugar
Does this sound familiar?
- Your GP said your blood pressure or blood sugar is “on the high side”, but what does that actually mean for you?
- You’ve gained a few kilos over the past few years, especially around your waist.
- You feel tired after eating, or soon find yourself craving something sweet again.
- You want to avoid needing medication later on, or things getting worse.
What’s going on
High blood pressure, rising blood sugar and excess belly fat often develop gradually, usually without you noticing much. They’re closely linked: together, they signal that your metabolism may be becoming unbalanced. Over time, this increases the risk of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
The good news: this is also when you can do the most to make a difference. Strong scientific evidence shows that lifestyle changes to your diet, exercise, sleep, and stress levels can positively affect blood pressure and blood sugar. The sooner you start, the better your chances of turning things around.
How I work on your metabolism
Together, we assess where you are now, using measurements such as blood pressure and waist circumference, and blood tests if needed. Then we identify where you can make the greatest gains. No strict diet, just manageable steps that fit into your busy life, with support to help you stick with them.
My work always complements your regular care. If you’re already taking medication, don’t change anything without consulting your healthcare provider, and with your consent I’ll coordinate with your GP.
This is how you work towards better health markers and a body that will support you for years to come.
